Flew Too High

Gusted up on the flimsy wings of love
I flew too high to the sun
The waxy wings melted away
It's too late to be undone
And so I fall down to the sea
It's my fault, so it's okay
Though drowning could never be fun
That's what is in store for me today
I was warned never fly high
Not on love at least
But I did, too bad
I fell for that beast
I thought it all was in reach
The star's brightness and heat
For I'm ever so cold inside
And getting away is a treat
You can't tell your heart who to love
It does that on it's own
Maybe she can press a button to stop
But I can't with the ammount that has grown
You can't get someone to love you
You can't make you do the same
You can't ask the lord for caring
But this is for what I aim
