Cut My Hand Today

I cut my hand today
And bled away the pain
It's welcomed in a way
For now I ain't so plain
Slash upon my left hand
Does not feel all that bad
But I don't understand
I should not be so glad

Now I'm just gonna just stand
While you might walk away
You took my tomorrow
But I'll have my today
But the cut let me grow
As the blood swirled the drain
That better damn well show
While I just go insane

Now save me that stress
Of losing while you win
Becoming less and less
I take it on the chin 
Can't never say never
That is what I will think
Nothing lasts forever
And I am on the brink

I think I'll come around
And not be down and out
It's courage that I've found
Devouring my doubt
Door opens stead of shuts
World is coming apart
